This very busy junior high school is located in the hub of the City of Wetaskiwin and offers both English and French Immersion programs and French as a Second Language at all grade levels. A strong academic program is balanced by a variety of option courses and extracurricular activities. There are a number of 'off-campus' programs for students with special needs associated with the school as well.
Our student enrollment is 281 (Sept. 30,2009). Our population is comprised of:
1. Students from a wide range of socio economic backgrounds.
2. Students from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds.
3. Our four primary feeder schools are: Ecole Parkdale Elementary, Centennial Elementary
and Norwood Elementary. Ecole Queen Elizabeth School also receives some students
from: Sacred Heart School, Clear Vista School, Rosebrier School, Gwynne Scool and elementary
schools from the neighboring community of Hobbema (Samson, Ermineskin, Montana and
Louis Bull Reserves).

We are dedicated to assisting students achieve their maximum potential while appreciating their individual differences. We help students to succeed regardless of their ability, race or socio economic condition. We encourage students to explore a wide variety of academic, athletic, practical and fine arts areas, expanding their skills, knowledge and attitudes in a safe and caring environment.
Our Three Year Education Plan which is available under the About Us tab in the Documents Section outlines our belief that fitness and nutrition is an important aspect of school above and beyond the academics. We will be striving to instill in our students an appreciation for healthy living.
We believe that all students are capable of success because Success Matters. Through appropriate programming students can be successful in their studies.
Some of our students are funded with special education grants to implement highly supported specialized programs. We encourage and support inclusion of our special education students wherever they will be successful.
